Security Breach Shakes Parliament in Winter Session 2023



 In a dramatic turn of events, the Parliament's Winter Session is marred by a significant security breach, triggering a series of actions. Lalit Jha, the accused, is currently en route to a Delhi court, adding intensity to the unfolding situation.

 

 Demanding Accountability Post Parliament Security Breach

The suspension of Derek O'Brien, Trinamool's Rajya Sabha leader, and 14 other opposition MPs has stirred a robust reaction from the TMC. This Thursday, the party passionately called for accountability from the Centre, especially pointing fingers at the Union home ministry, in the wake of the Parliament security breach.





 Derek O'Brien faced suspension for the remainder of the winter session due to allegations of 'disrupting proceedings.' His disruptive actions involved demanding a statement from Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the security breach. Following his suspension, O'Brien opted for a unique form of protest, staging a silent demonstration within the Parliament complex. Striking a powerful visual, he walked out of the House with a placard draped around his neck that simply read  Silent Protest.
