India vs South Africa ODI showdown: KL Rahul takes charge of India in 3-match series
BCCI announces 16-man squad for India's ODI clash with South Africa
India are gearing up for a thrilling encounter against South Africa in the much-awaited three-match ODI series starting in Johannesburg on December 17.
KL Rahul takes over as captain in Rohit Sharma's absence
In a strategic move by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), KL Rahul has been handed the captaincy role in place of regular skipper Rohit Sharma. The decision follows Rahul's recent appointment as Sharma's deputy after Hardik Pandya's unfortunate exit from the World Cup due to an ankle injury. With Pandya expected to recover in 8-10 weeks, Rahul stepped in to lead the team on South African soil.
The cricket stage is set for a historic encounter as India have unveiled their strong 16-member squad for the upcoming ODI series against South Africa. KL Rahul, who is now taking over the role of captain in the absence of Rohit Sharma, is ready to lead by bringing both skill and strategy to the forefront.
